10 step Korean skincare routine

Korean skincare routine is in trend nowadays that's why I thought to write about it and yeah it's really amazing and very different from the normal skincare routine. All the products in these steps which I am gonna tell you are natural and easy on the pockets. 

No doubt that Korean skincare routine provides you a clear, bright and glowing skin. In this routine you will come to know about how to make oil based cleanser, water based cleanser and many more DIYs. The most popular part of this routine is glass skin so let's know about how to get a glass skin? Interesting? 


1. Oil based cleanser

Oil based cleanser is really important in Korean skincare. This clears the skin deeply and removes all the dirt, impurities and pores. Oily skin people also have to do this step and don't worry it will not damages the skin. For this you have to use natural oil that is olive oil and jojoba oil for oily skin. This step is necessary because there are many oil based impurities which can't be clear by foam based and oil dissolves with oil very well. 


Olive oil or jojoba oil


Take a cotton pad, drop 3-4 drops of olive oil on it. Cleanse your face gently in upward motion.

Wash off your face with lukewarm water. 

2. Water based cleanser

Water based cleanser clears all the leftover impurities and oil residue. It will clear the skin completely without leaving your skin harsh. This will remove the dirt and clears the skin deeply because of double cleansing. Double cleansing is the key piece of Korean skincare. 


Honey and raw milk


Take 1 teaspoon of honey in a bowl. 

Add 1 teaspoon of raw milk. 

Now with the help of fingers cleanse your face with it in circular motion. 

Now wash off with lukewarm water.

3. Exfoliating

Now move on to the next step that is exfoliating. Exfoliating scrub removes the dead skin cells and the next step to work well and deeply. It removes the blackheads, whiteheads and clears the skin deeply. 


Tomato juice

Rice flour

Gram flour


Add 1 tbsp of rice flour and gram flour in a bowl. 

Add enough tomato juice to make a paste. Then apply on your face. 

Rub gently for few minutes then wash off with lukewarm water. 

4. Toner

Now the next step is refreshing your skin and balancing the pH level. Toner tightens the pores, and helps the next step to work well. Toner helps to purify, soften and pre moisturize your skin. It also removes the remaining dead skin left by exfoliating. 


Rose water or 

Green tea 


Take a little bit of rose water or green tea on a cotton pad. 

Apply it on your face gently and leave it as it is. 

5. Essence 

Essence is an important part of Korean skincare routine. Essence is made by any flower here we will make chamomile essence. This will purely clarify the skin and nourishes with the goodness of chamomile. It hydrates the skin and leaves a brighter skin. 


Chamomile tea bags


Take one cup of hot water and steep a chamomile tea bag into it. 

Now you can use this water as an essence. 

Dip a cotton ball into the chamomile essence and apply it all over your face and neck and leave your face as it is. 

6. Serum

Now the next  step is applying a serum . Serum is important to reduce the aging sign and provides you a glowing and young skin. It reduces the fine line and any other skin concern which makes your skin dull and aged. Jojoba oil for oily skin. 


Jojoba oil or almond oil

Rosehip oil

Essential oil


Take 5-6 drops of jojoba oil or almond oil. 

Add 2 drops of essential oil and rosehip oil. 

Mix well. Apply it on your face gently with massaging. 

7. Sheet mask

You heard of sheet masks available in the market but we are going to use natural DIY sheet mask. Sheet mask works great on every skin type and provides you a healthy & glowing skin. 

It nourishes the skin and then skin absorbs the goodness of diy sheet mask. 


Honey or glycerin

Chamomile tea 


Take 2 tbsp of honey and chamomile tea in a bowl. Mix well

Take a tissue paper cut it in the shape of face. 

Now dip the sheet mask into the mixture. 

Apply this sheet mask on your face for 15-20 minutes . That's it. 

8. Eye cream

Eye cream is really important in Korean skincare as well as in daily skincare routine. It reduces the fine lines and signs of aging. It also removes the dark circles and puffiness around the eyes. 


Almond oil

Vitamin E capsule


Take 1 teaspoon of almond oil in a bowl. 

Add oil of 1 vitamin E capsule. 

Now apply it gently around your eyes as a cream and store the rest of the cream in a box for next use. 


Now the most important step is to moisturize and nourish your skin. It will hydrate your skin and provides you a soft and supple skin. 


Aloe vera gel


Apply a little bit amount of aloe vera gel on your face . 

Massage gently in circular motion.

10. Night cream /Sunscreen

Depending on you are going out or at home . If you are heading out then apply sunscreen at least containing Spf 40. Sunscreen is must for everyday use so don't skip it. 

And if you are going to sleep then no need to apply any cream because already you have applied moisturizer and that is enough for night time.
